Aeromexico has launched direct flights from Colombia’s capital Bogota to Cancun, Mexico. The new flight will fly three times a week. The first Bogota-Cancun flight with 124 passengers was inaugurated on June 22. The airline has been operating in Colombia for two years.
The Mexico’s flag carrier airline will take off from Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, departing at 7AM local time and arriving a little after 10AM in Cancun, the second busiest airport in Mexico. Flights leaving from Cancun will depart the same days, leaving Mexico at 1:55PM and arriving in Bogota at 5PM.
With happening nightlife and wonderful beaches, Cancun is becoming a tourist hotspot. The number of tourists visiting this luxurious resort city is on the rise. Banking on this opportunity, airline companies are introducing direct flights to this world famous vacation destination. Recently British airline Virgin Atlantic launched a bi-weekly flight between Cancun and London’s Gatwick airport.
